Job Description:
This role is a challenging opportunity to work as a key member of the nursing team in our Endoscopy Unit. As Staff Nurse Endoscopy, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care and contributing to the development of innovative practice within the unit.
You will have the responsibility of managing equipment, ensuring the safe and economic use of supplies, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be expected to assist with procedures, monitor patient safety, and adhere to policies and protocols.
This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. You will have opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage equipment and ensure its safe and efficient use
* Monitor patient safety and well-being
* Assist with procedures and maintain accurate records

* Maintain effective communication and relationships with colleagues and patients
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Education:
* Registered General Nurse with The Nursing and Midwifery Bord of Ireland (NMBI)
* Previous Endoscopy Qualification - desirable
Experience:
* At least 1 year's post-registration experience - essential

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
