About the Role
Digital Infrastructure Ireland (DII) is the collective voice of Ireland’s digital infrastructure ecosystem. They represent a community of more than 70 partners spanning every stage of the digital infrastructure lifecycle — from design and construction through to operation, maintenance, and innovation. DII’s purpose is to represent, support, and champion their partners, driving growth and ensuring that Ireland’s digital infrastructure remains globally competitive. Through partnership growth, advocacy, policy influence, education, research, and community building, they advance the sector’s role in powering Ireland’s economy, society, and sustainability agenda.
The CEO of DII will be at the forefront of addressing these challenges and opportunities, ensuring Ireland remains competitive, sustainable, and internationally recognised as a hub for digital infrastructure excellence. You will have the opportunity to grow the partnership, making DII truly at the centre of the digital infrastructure sector in Ireland, establish new revenue streams and always focus on maximising value for the partners.
Responsibilities
Partner Value & Growth - This is critical
Expand and diversify the partnership, enhancing engagement and value creation.
Develop impactful programmes and initiatives that reflect partner needs.
Stakeholder Engagement
Represent DII in media, at events, and in public forums.
Build and strengthen relationships with partners, government, regulators, and industry leaders.
Strategic Leadership
Spearhead the delivery and implementation of DII’s 2026–2028 strategy.
Provide vision, thought leadership, and advocacy on behalf of partners.
Organisational Leadership
Lead and manage staff and resources in line with DII’s mission and values.
Ensure robust governance and financial sustainability.
Oversee core activity areas: Community, Events, Talent, and Policy.
Sustainability & Social Impact
Drive DII’s leadership in sustainability and biodiversity initiatives.
Position DII as a role model for responsible industry practice.
Advocacy & Policy
Influence government, regulators, EU bodies, and international forums on issues critical to digital infrastructure.
Champion recognition of digital infrastructure as essential national infrastructure.
Qualifications
We are seeking a commercial leader with a proven track record in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. You will have:
Required Skills
Significant leadership experience at CEO, Director, or equivalent senior level.
A bold, high‑impact commercial leader with a challenger mindset.
Strong understanding of infrastructure, technology, or related industries.
Proven ability to engage stakeholders, influence people and negotiate.
Hands‑on leadership and willingness to get into the weeds.
Track record of organisational growth, governance, and financial management.
Preferred Skills
Proven ability to engage with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders at national and EU levels.
Have a strong media and public profile.
