Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Process Engineer to join an expanding team in Ringaskiddy. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, supporting production operations and leading process improvement and new product introduction initiatives. Ideal for professionals with a strong background in chemical engineering and a passion for problem-solving and innovation.
Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day support to production operations, including troubleshooting, reviewing set-up documents, and working with process managers to optimise plant performance.
* Maintain ownership of plant P&IDs and functional specifications.
* Contribute to proposals and planning for new product introductions.
* Act as Process Design Engineer/User Representative on new product and plant projects: Define project scope; Participate in HAZOPs; Lead change control processes (quality and safety); Conduct ZHAs and support commissioning & qualification (C&Q).
* Mentor and support junior Process Engineers.
Qualifications
* Degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognised institution.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical small molecule environment.
* Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership skills.
* Proficient in PC applications; experience with systems like SAP, Comos, CMX is a plus.
* Solid understanding of plant engineering specs, automation, and process safety.
* Experience in customer or regulatory audits is advantageous.
