Apprentice Maintenance Fitter Position Available

This position offers an exciting opportunity to learn and work under the supervision of experienced craft technicians on the daily maintenance of a facility. The successful candidate will have the chance to understand the safe operation of production machines, learn how to resolve common issues, perform repairs, and replace parts correctly on equipment.

The apprentice will also be responsible for recording work completed, parts used, etc., on a CMMS system (PEMAC). Additionally, they will perform supervised duties to install, repair, and maintain plant utilities such as HVAC, boilers, compressors, chillers, etc.
">
Responsibilities will include performing machining and modifications in the engineering workshop, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and reading and understanding equipment manuals, assembly drawings, and wiring diagrams.
">
The candidate will also be responsible for performing supervised preventive maintenance on machines, assisting vendors and contractors during scheduled overhauls, and learning how to correctly use various hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment while performing duties.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will be expected to comply with company EHS and GMP procedures, maintain work areas safe and tidy, and demonstrate teamwork and individual achievements.

Requirements:

* Leaving Certificate grade O6 or higher in mathematics, a technical subject, or science.
">
* Work experience or hobbies in the use and upkeep of machinery are an advantage.
">
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
">
* Experience on PC is an advantage.
