Mid-Level Network Engineer JNCIP
This is a unique opportunity for routing and switching engineer with JNCIA Certified Professional certification and relevant experience, to join a successful Systems Integrator delivering IP Services to many enterprise customers in Ireland. Taking full ownership of projects relating to the design and delivery of our customers core networks and customer-facing networks, this is an excellent time to join a company with great promise.
Additionally, this role requires support for our Enterprise organisations with Cisco and Fortinet Infrastructures. Taking escalation of issues from more junior members of the team and escalation of incidents to vendor partners for technical assistance and troubleshooting.
The Network Operating Centre (NOC) is located in Dublin and from here we remotely manage our customer base. This involves secure remote access to the customer infrastructure to allow troubleshooting their network incidents using tools necessary for such support (AD, SolarWinds, SW deployment, Monitoring and alerting software, Vulnerability assessment, backup and restore technologies, patch update, RMM tools, etc.)
Responsibilities
* Design and deliver technical solutions to customers in Juniper and Fortinet networking and security environments
* Be able to take design plans and implement into the infrastructure according to business and technical requirements.
* Have a strong technical troubleshooting skill set and be able to research and develop solutions during project delivery
* Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
* Technically manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
* Coordinate with various stakeholders and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
* Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
* Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes.
* Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for all reported incidents.
* Liaise with manufacturer TAC support teams during customer incidents.
Key Skills & Experience Required
* Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Experience troubleshooting technical incidents in Cisco and / or Fortinet environments.
* Cisco ISE, Firepower, Wireless and DNAC experience
* Cisco Routing and Switching experience
* Fortinet fortigate, fortiManager, fortianalyzer experience
* Juniper JNCIA & JNCIP certifcations
* Previous experience delivering networking and security solutions to customers in Juniper
* Practical experience of common routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and ISIS
* Familiarity with MPLS technologies (both Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Comfortable interacting with customers/other departments and management
* Excellent MS Office skills
