This unique, historic venue in the heart of Dublin city centre is hiring an experienced Banqueting Manager to ensure the successful execution of conference, meeting, and event operations that exceed guest expectations.
Key responsibilities:
* Oversee staffing, service and all opening and closing procedures to ensure efficiency and attention to detail.
* Liaise with and maintain strong relationships with other teams (Events, F&B and Kitchen) to ensure smooth running of events, including pre-function meetings and detailed handover communications.
* Address member and guest queries or complaints as they arise in a professionalmanner.
* Ensure proper room set up in accordance with all customer specifications and timely turn around of rooms for the next event.
* Stock management and ordering (equipment, crockery and beverage).
* Balance floats at the end of each shift.
* Lead the banqueting team to provide excellent service and meet guest expectations through regular training and mentoring.
* Ensure all banquet staff meet grooming standards at all times.
* Assist with preparing weekly team roster when needed.
* Keep accurate, up-to-date training records for the team.
* Ensure compliance with all H&S regulations, including fire safety and hygienestandards, completing daily fire walks and facilities inspections.
The successful candidate:
* Minimum of two years’ experience in a banqueting / hospitality management role in a quality venue with significant events business.
* Wedding experience preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple eventssimultaneously.
* Keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
* Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet event schedules.
