Collaborate with a team of skilled designers and bring your artistic talent to a global stage.As a Trainee Designer, you will support the Designer and Buying teams in researching and designing a commercial range, including trend, colour, shape directionYou will be responsible for staying ahead of trends, continually research new ideas.Job DescriptionWhat You’ll Do as a Trainee DesignerIn your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:Conduct daily trend research across multiple platforms and share insights with the womenswear teams.Translate latest trends into commercially viable designs aligned with Primark’s brand handwriting.Collaborate with the design team to create strong, original graphics and prints.Support range development by considering garment shapes, fabrics, and seasonal colour direction.Manage design updates, track amendments, and ensure timely communication across teams.Prepare design files, presentations, and handle colour/trend/product-related admin tasks.QualificationsWhat You’ll GetPeople are at the heart of what we do here, so it’s essential we provide you with the right environment to perform at your very best.
