Position: Setting-out Engineer
Salary: €65,000 - €75,000 + Full Benefits Package
Location: County Longford
3D Personnel's client, one of Irelands largest Tier One main contractors, are searching for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a large-scale project in County Longford.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the Project Manager & Site Manager with daily operations as required.
2. Acting as the main technical adviser on site for specialist subcontractors such as the concrete frame contractor
3. Setting out for groundworks, Steel Frame, Cladding / Building envelope, Setting out for internals, QA, temporary works checks, temporary works coordination.
4. Checking plans, drawings and setting out coordination.
5. Ensuring that all materials used, and work performed are as per specifications.
6. Managing, monitoring and interpreting the construction design drawings supplied by the structural engineer, architect & MEP engineers.
7. Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
8. Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors.
9. Planning the work and efficiently organising the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
10. Overseeing quality control and the implementation of health & safety on site.
11. Preparing reports as required for senior site manager & project manager.
12. Proactive approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise and associated reporting to senior site manager and project manager.
13. Any other duties as required by management.
Requirements:
14. A minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience
15. Previous experience of setting out of groundworks and RC retaining structures, services etc,
16. Previous experience of calling off reinforcement and ability to read reinforcement drawings;
17. Previous temporary works experience
18. IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and AutoCAD
