Financial Controller
The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a well-established financial services organisation on a fixed-term basis.
This role sits within a busy Finance function and will support senior stakeholders through high-quality financial reporting, regulatory submissions and management information.
The successful candidate will play a key role in month-end and quarter-end close, statutory reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and regulatory compliance across multiple legal entities.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and collation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs for senior management
Production of quarterly Board reporting materials
Support the preparation of annual statutory financial statements and act as a key point of contact for auditors and tax advisers
Preparation of quarterly forecasts and the annual budget
Active involvement in month-end and quarter-end close, including variance analysis against prior periods and budget
Compilation of detailed management information and financial statistics (e.g.
aged debtors, assets under administration, client income analysis)
Support regulatory reporting across monthly, quarterly and annual submissions (including Central Bank returns)
Preparation and submission of bi-monthly VAT returns
Cash flow management, liquidity monitoring and oversight of treasury activities
Liaison with group finance colleagues and other internal stakeholders
Identification of process improvements and efficiencies within finance systems and controls
Support ad hoc projects as required
Candidate Profile
Third-level qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA or similar preferred)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Financial Controller or similar role, ideally within financial services or asset management
Strong Excel skills with good working knowledge of Power Point and Word
Exposure to regulatory reporting tools and financial systems is advantageous
Highly accurate with strong attention to detail and the ability to self-review work
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
