About the Position
Fior Insulation & Fire Protection Ltd is now looking for an experienced working Site Lead to join our Projects team. The successful candidate will be working on residential renovation projects.
As a site lead, you will be reporting to the Project Manager and Project Administrator.
As part of the project team, you will be expected to deliver renovation projects on time and within budget. You will be expected to execute the work as required and liaise with approved subcontractors, in-house technicians and other office administration staff to ensure the performance of the project, under the guidance of the Project Manager.
Duties
* Site set-up and Execution of work on site. Including but not limited to structural, carpentry, and groundwork.
* Meet with Project Managers for project handover.
* Assist the PM in managing project workflow to ensure continuous project progression in line with project plans as required.
* Highlight any issues to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
* Project closeout and customer sign off.
Requirements
* Min 5 years' experience in managing small to medium-sized residential projects.
* Ability to hold discussions on the full requirements of a typical residential renovation with clients, suppliers, and sub contractors.
* Qualification in a construction discipline or significant residential renovations experience.
Construction Skills
* Experience in foundations, understanding what's involved in excavations, the different types of foundations and their basic construct.
* Experience pouring and screeding concrete.
* Good understanding of structural works in residential buildings.
* Able to differentiate between the different types of wall constructs.
* Capable of carpentry skills.
* Basic knowledge of roofing, the different types and their construct.
* Basic knowledge of all interior finishes e.g. plaster, skim, flooring, skirting and architrave.
Personal Skills
* Excellent timekeeping.
