Key Duties & Responsibilities: Stay informed of new health & safety legislation and maintain a working knowledge of developments within the industry. Lead the development of a proactive health & safety culture and continuous improvement projects across the site. Conduct regular internal audits to ensure policies and procedures are implemented effectively, documenting and reporting findings to management. Carry out and update risk assessments, implement preventative measures, and monitor compliance. Develop safe systems of work and maintain risk trackers as required. Lead safety briefings, toolbox talks, and huddles alongside Line Managers and Supervisors. Investigate, record, and follow up on incidents, accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences. Maintain the sites Emergency Plan & Procedures, ensuring key responders are trained and prepared. Oversee and monitor all third-party activities to ensure safe working practices. The Successful Candidate Will Have: At least 3 years relevant experience, ideally within the food production industry. A third-level qualification in a related field. Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues and senior management. Drive, confidence, and resilience to see projects through to completion. Excellent problem-solving ability and innovative thinking. High levels of organisation and meticulous attention to detail. Commitment to keeping up to date with health & safety legislation and industry developments. Ability to manage sensitive information with absolute confidentiality and integrity. Outstanding communication skills and a professional manner. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
