About the Team
We are located in Dublin, Ireland, and the entire development of the Lambda service occurs here. The team works on key deliverables such as Lambda Runtime Management Controls, Lambda Extensions, Lambda Container Support, and new language runtimes.
Responsibilities
Own and implement specific components, building highly available, secure, scalable, distributed, event‑driven systems.
Define system architecture and contribute to software design, reliability, and scaling.
Work across the full software development lifecycle: coding, testing, source control, build, deployment, and operations.
Participate in on‑call rotations, ensuring systems are fault tolerant and uphold a high quality bar before production.

Basic Qualifications
Professional experience in software development.
Proficiency in at least one programming language.
Experience contributing to architecture and design, including reliability and scaling.
Knowledge of software engineering best practices: coding standards, code reviews, source control, continuous integration and deployment, testing, and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
Experience developing and deploying serverless applications using AWS services, designing event‑driven architectures, and optimizing performance and cost efficiency.
