About the Company
Very busy Main Contractor with long-term work in the South Tipperary area.
Company is known for delivering interesting residential and commercial properties for high profile clients.
The successful candidate will be working on a brand-new development that has a minimum of 2 years' work on it.
They require an enthusiastic engineer who is confident in liaising with architects and design team, reading and interpreting drawings and planning for/delegating works to junior engineers on site.
This role would suit someone who has worked on commercial projects at senior level and is interested in long term work in Laois.
They want someone who can come on board and be a part of multiple projects to come
The Role
Setting out and checking works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
Performing checks on the quality of works completed to ensure works are done to a high standard.
Working closely with design team and architect to ensure works are completed to a high standard
Spot any issues that may arise on site and work with design team to plan for and overcome in a time effective & cost-effective way
Liaise with sub-contractors and personnel on site in the planning of daily tasks for the project.
Supervise multiple trades on site and act as a point of contact for subbies, architect and client.
Ensure H&S standards are met and adhered to on site.
Support the Project Manager to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
Requirements
A Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
5+ Experience with a Main Contractor in ROI
Must have experience dealing with Irish Water
Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
