About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Group Projects Manager to lead and deliver large-scale capital projects ranging from €250k to €10m across multiple sites in Ireland. This is a senior management position, reporting directly to the Board, and requires strong leadership, hands-on project delivery experience, and the ability to manage complex engineering and construction projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will oversee building and machinery projects, liaising between the senior leadership team, the board, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning, development, and delivery of large-scale building, machinery, and engineering projects.
* Develop tenders, manage costs, negotiate contracts, and oversee project execution.
* Act as the central link between the board, senior leadership, contractors, and project teams.
* Prepare robust capital expenditure proposals and manage financial reporting.
* Coordinate resources and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, including third-party contractors.
* Oversee compliance with safety, environmental, and engineering standards.
* Create and maintain a group-wide project dashboard for visibility and resource management.
* Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of project management practices.
* Mentor managers and champion project management methodologies across the group.
* Support strategic business initiatives by identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.
Key Requirements:
* Degree in
Engineering
or a related field, ideally with a
Project Management qualification
.
* Minimum
10 years' industry experience
, including
4+ years in project management
within construction, civil, mechanical, or process engineering.
* Proven track record of delivering large-scale capital projects from concept to completion.
* Strong knowledge of project management tools, cost control, and reporting systems.
* Ability to manage diverse stakeholders, including contractors, senior executives, and regulatory authorities.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
* Willingness to travel regularly across Ireland depending on project needs.
