Talbot Lodge Nursing Home is a well-established, resident-focused nursing home located in Kinsealy, Malahide. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our senior management team.
Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing (DON), the ADON will play a key role in supporting the clinical, professional and operational leadership of the nursing service, ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the DON in the day-to-day management of the nursing team and clinical services
* Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
* Provide strong clinical leadership and guidance to nursing and care staff
* Assist with staff supervision, rostering, performance management and training
* Promote a culture of person-centred care, dignity and respect
* Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives and incident management
* Act as a senior clinical decision-maker and deputise for the DON as required
Requirements
* Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration on the NMBI register
* Minimum of 5 years' post-registration experience, with at least 1 year in a senior or leadership role (CNM/ADON level desirable)
* Experience working in an older person or long-term care setting
* Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and regulatory compliance
* Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
* Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
