Job Title: Driver with Caring Duties
Location: Antrim
Salary: £12.75 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Duration: Ongoing temporary contract
Essential Criteria:
Full Category D driving licence with no restrictions.
CPC Card valid for at least 2 years.
Experience conveying vulnerable clients safely.
Ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance and checks
Willingness to carry out caring duties, including assisting clients with mobility or personal needs.

On behalf of our client, we are delighted to be recruiting for a Driver with Caring Duties to join the Transport Department. This temporary role offers an excellent opportunity to provide safe, reliable transport and caring support to clients and patients across the Northern Health & Social Care Trust community sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and convey clients/patients (including elderly, physically handicapped, psychiatric, blind, etc.) to Trust Adult/Day Care facilities.
Assist clients with boarding/alighting vehicles, using mobility aids, and other personal support as required.
Provide minor first aid and support at day facilities, functions, and outings.
Perform daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance (fuel, oil, water, tyre pressure, cleaning, minor repairs).
Operate tail lifts safely after training.
Complete journey and vehicle records, including mileage, fuel, and clients transported.
Load/unload vehicles and deliver goods, supplies, and equipment as required.
Support evacuation procedures and act as transport backup in emergencies.
Adhere to all Trust policies including health and safety, infection prevention, and patient/client care.
