Ann's Children's Care are recruiting for the post of Compliance Manager
The Compliance Manager will provide support to the Quality Assurance lead in ensuring that our homes are meeting regulatory requirements whilst delivering high quality consistent therapeutic support to the young people in our care.
Specification
The candidate must hold a minimum level 7 in social care with 4 years post qualification work experience in a children's residential care setting.
Key responsibilities
The compliance manager will assist with the execution of the company's Quality Assurance program by
* Monitoring the efficiency of reporting and record keeping in our homes
* Carrying out audits and inspections to underpin ongoing compliance.
* Completing reports and action plans within timescales.
* Identifying any short falls, practice or policy compliance in the homes
* Ensuring any breaches or safeguarding concerns are escalated where necessary
* Support with policy development
* Providing short term Home Manager cover if and when required.
* To assist with staff training and development
* Analysis of data as requested by senior management
* To undertake project work as required from time to time that falls with scope of this job description (but not limited to the job description) as required by senior managers.
* Supporting the education and development of staff through training and workshops.
* To provide administrative support as required.
* To attend training as required to support professional development and ensure up to date knowledge of legislation, research and guidance.
Personal requirements:
* Good working knowledge of HIQA's National Standards for Children's Residential Centre's and all associated and relevant legislations and best practice guidance.
* Excellent knowledge of the principles of child protection and safeguarding in the context of residential childcare.
* In depth understanding of young people's key outcome areas and how residential practitioners work with young people and promote progress.
* The ability to provide leadership and direction to staff teams
* Working knowledge of the ACIMS inspection process
* Good working knowledge and understanding of the rights and entitlements of children and young people in care.
