Housing Benefit Recovery Officer Role Overview
The Housing Benefit Recovery Team Leader is part of a specialist team responsible for the recovery of Housing Benefit overpayments, Administrative Penalties and Low Income Rate Relief overpayments.
* Leading and managing a specialist team to recover Housing Benefit overpayments and other related debts.
* Developing strategies to improve debt collection processes and reduce arrears levels.
* Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination across teams.
* Maintaining accurate records of all transactions, including payments received, debts written off, etc.
We are seeking an experienced professional with exceptional leadership skills to join our dedicated housing benefit team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in leading high-performing teams.
The current salary range is £27,694 - £32,597 per annum. We also offer an excellent pension scheme with employer contribution of 19%.
