OverviewPJ Hegarty & Sons is seeking a Project Planner to join our construction team on a large-scale project in the Dublin Region. Project-based and reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, the candidate will work with the wider management team to develop, monitor and report on base-line construction schedules across a wide range of CSA disciplines, integrating with MEP schedules in a co-ordinated approach to assist with overall project delivery.Key DutiesManage a reliable and responsive planning service for the project.Manage the preparation of schedules for all phases of a project across multiple disciplinesResponsible for ensuring that schedule updates from the various area schedulers are carried out, and that these inputs are cross checked and consistent with one another to support the overall ProgramEnsures that all quality checks are carried out on the Schedule before submitting it externally to the Client.Monitor progress against schedules, analyse deviations and recommend remedial actions.Co-ordinate a progress measurement systemManage the preparation of and make presentations to project teams and client on schedule control and procedures used.Extract and analyse specific information from schedules by the use of filters, lookaheads, histograms, S-curvesProject programme planning, collect and analyse information to plan and schedule construction projects.Work closely with the Site management teamsGenerate forecasts, variance reports, and other documentation to monitor and manage projects.RequirementsDegree-qualified in Engineering or Construction Management.3-5 Years experience in a Construction Planner roleExperience with Microsoft Project & PrimaveraExperience working with a main contractor on large scale commercial building projects with knowledge of Civil works, M&E and Fit-Out's.Enthusiastic, motivated individual requiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to use time productively, maximise efficiency and meet challenging work goalsPossess ability to work well as part of a team and independentlyFurther InformationThe company assists in career progression of its employees.
