Working closely with the Hospital Clinical Lead (Consultant Surgeon), the GM will ensure that the hospital delivers in a safe environment, clinical excellence, and market-leading outcomes for all patients while meeting the hospital's commercial targets.Leading a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and customer service staff, the GM will ensure that the hospital has the right resources in place to meet or exceed its business plan.You will lead the implementation of all Veonet Ireland policies and pathways within the hospital, ensuring consistent, safe, and highly efficient care for all patients, regardless of location visited.Key TasksRecruit, lead, and manage a high-performing multi-disciplinary hospital team.Develop and implement strategies to optimise hospital operations.Schedule clinical services in line with contract requirements and patient volumes, making efficient use of all resources.Drive continuous improvement by analysing data and identifying opportunities for better outcomes and operational efficiencies.Own the business plan, ensuring financial, patient volume, and satisfaction rate targets are met.Ensure services and staff adhere to Veonet Ireland Governance Framework and all legislative, regulatory, and governance requirements.Manage complaints, ensuring lessons learned are shared nationally and embedded into service improvements.Work with the Clinical Lead to ensure clinical training and governance are followed and reported per VI requirements.Collaborate with the Business Development Team to build and maintain referral pathways and local partnerships for growth.If applicable, hold the registered manager designation for regulatory bodies (RQIA in NI).Lead on incidents, safeguarding alerts, and complaints, ensuring thorough investigation and implementation of learnings to mitigate future risks.Support reporting and presentations related to the hospital for funders.Ensure the hospital Business Continuity Plan is in place and tested biannually.Maintain full compliance with safety standards, including Clinical Equipment Servicing and H&S.Own and manage the hospital-specific risk register.Promote innovative practices in operational delivery for patient and staff benefit, as well as operational goals.Support team development and succession planning.Monitor and report on Patient Experience and satisfaction, implementing remedial actions as needed.Continuously seek to improve hospital performance and share best practices.Manage clinical teams, oversee quality management systems, prioritize tasks, and adapt communication styles as needed.Participate in business planning activities.Possess a degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field.Have an understanding of Ophthalmology services and Clinical Governance.Seniority LevelDirectorEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionHealth Care ProviderIndustriesHospitals and HealthcareReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Veonet Ireland by 2x.Get notified about new Hospital Manager jobs in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.
