Dublin Fringe Festival is seeking a dynamic, strategic and experienced General Manager to join our team. This senior leadership role sits at the heart of one of Ireland’s most ambitious and distinctive arts organisations. Working closely with the Festival Director, the General Manager will play a central role in the strategic, financial and operational leadership of Dublin Fringe Festival, helping to shape and sustain the organisation as both a year‑round artist support hub and a leading multidisciplinary festival.
Responsibilities
Lead on financial planning and oversight, governance, organisational systems, operational management and people management.
Guide a small but highly skilled team, support the delivery of an ambitious annual festival and contribute to the continued growth and development of the organisation.
Oversee line management across key operational areas including production, box office, volunteer coordination, the Studios Coordinator and the Bookkeeper.
Work closely with the Festival Director and senior team to ensure successful delivery of the festival and year‑round programme.
Support income diversification, fundraising operations, partnerships and organisational sustainability.
Qualifications
Significant experience in a comparable senior management role.
Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
Excellent organisational, planning and leadership ability.
Confidence managing teams, systems and complex operational workflows.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
An understanding of, and commitment to, artists, festivals and the wider cultural sector.
Experience or interest in supporting fundraising, partnerships, audience development and organisational growth.
Benefits
Salary of €47,000–€53,000, depending on experience.
22 days’ annual leave, pro rata, plus public holidays.
Some flexibility for remote working, depending on organisational and operational requirements.
