Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Technician
Join our team as an Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Technician, ensuring the safe, efficient, operation of electrical and instrumentation systems within our facility.
Your role will involve:
* Performing preventive maintenance tasks on electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
* Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and instrumentation equipment and systems in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
* Calibrating and maintaining instrumentation devices such as temperature sensors, pressure transmitters, flow meters, and analytical instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Collaborating with other maintenance technicians and engineers to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
* FOLLOWING standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Documenting maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other designated tools.
* Participating in training programs to develop and maintain technical skills and knowledge of new technologies relevant to electrical and instrumentation maintenance.
* Responding to corrective breakdown work and troubleshooting root cause analysis with Manufacturing.
* Scheduling, completing, and assigning Work Orders in a timely manner.
Requirements
* Time served in an engineering technical degree or diploma, or Solas advanced craft certification to level 6, or equivalent.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, preferably in a biopharmaceutical or similar regulated industry.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical codes (NEC, IEC).
* Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical circuits and control systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Experience with instrumentation calibration, configuration, and troubleshooting, including familiarity with industry standards such as ISO/IEC 17025.
* Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
* Computer Literacy.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
* Flexibility to work occasional weekends, holidays, or off-hours as needed to support maintenance activities and respond to emergencies.
