Job Overview
As a Materials Assistant, you will be responsible for procuring and managing materials. Key responsibilities include locating, verifying, and labeling requested materials.
* Liaise with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in inventory counts
* Work closely with colleagues to ensure timely resolution of account queries or delivery docket issues
Detailed Responsibilities
* Material procurement: Locate and verify requested materials
* Inventory management: Perform weekly cycle counts and monthly physical inventory count
* Problem-solving: Assist with inventory and/or system problem resolution
* Communication: Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders as required
Requirements and Qualifications
* Related experience in a warehouse environment is an advantage
* Strong analytical skills, able to identify and resolve problems quickly
* Good organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks effectively
* Detail-oriented and quality-focused
* Ability to complete paperwork accurately following good documentation practices
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently by following detailed instructions
* I.T. skills: Excel, Outlook, Word; Warehouse inventory systems
