HV/MV Electrical Estimator – Cork (Hybrid)
GxP Recruitment are currently working with a well-established, industry-leading engineering services firm that is expanding its Estimating team. With a rich history spanning over 130 years, this company has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, client-focused projects across multiple sectors, including renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, and energy systems integration.
We're now seeking an HV/MV Electrical Estimator to join their team in Cork. The Opportunity
This role will see you supporting the full tender lifecycle for large-scale renewable and HV infrastructure projects—including grid connections, wind, solar, and BESS. You’ll be based at the Cork office (Little Island), working alongside project managers, planners, and a wider team of multidisciplinary professionals.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage tendering activities for major renewable and electrical infrastructure projects.
* Lead the end-to-end tender process: from scope review through to final submission.
* Assemble and assess subcontractor quotes, ensuring specification compliance.
* Attend pre- and post-tender meetings and liaise directly with key stakeholders.
* Perform accurate take-offs and prepare cost estimates from drawings and technical documents.
* Regularly update management on bid opportunities and strategy.
* Coordinate with internal departments and support the preparation of winning bids.
What You’ll Need
* A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; trade background advantageous.
* 3–5 years of relevant experience, ideally with exposure to HV or renewable energy projects.
* Strong understanding of project specifications, technical documents, and tendering procedures.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office tools; excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* A genuine interest in renewable energy and a desire to grow within a forward-thinking business.
