Job Description The Contracts Manager will be responsible for effectively managing the contract requirements of the Client Partner Services Sub-Contracts with Sub-Contractors, Sub-Consultants and Suppliers, ensuring all terms and conditions are being adhered to and service obligations are fulfilled in line with Turner Townsend's and the Clients requirements.
The role holder under the leadership of Client Partner's Senior Contract Manager, shall ensure that appropriate internal structures are put in place to facilitate the management of the Client Partner Services Sub-Contracts to the satisfaction of Client Partner Management Board.
The role holder shall sit within the centralised Client Partner contract management team.
The Client Partner Services Sub-Contracts Manager shall also assume responsibility for dealing with daily contract issues as they arise to ensure the ongoing and seamless delivery of Client Partner services, as well as to ensure culture of collaboration and partnership within the Client and Sub-Contractors.
The role holder shall further assist in the monitoring of Sub-Contractors performance based upon the contractually agreed key performance indicators, and overall, ensure that the Client achieves maximum value for money through the support and development of best practices in contract management.
Oversee the day-to-day management of the Client Partner Services Sub-Contracts to ensure the ongoing and seamless delivery of Client Partner services.
Ensure compliance with contract management standards, contractual terms and conditions including reporting requirements, as well as legal, regulatory, and TII policies and procedures, in the execution of the contract administration activities for the Client Partner Services Sub-Contracts.
Negotiate and manage change orders, new task orders, claims, and dispute resolution processes in accordance with the contract framework.
Attend and assist in preparation of any early warning or other meetings required by the Client Partner Services Contract.
Build and maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Provide guidance and training to teams and stakeholders on contract management best practices as well as any advice in relation to the Client Partner Services Sub-Contracts.
Prepare and review project reports and contract documentation.
Track contract performance against the KPIs in the Client Partner Services Sub-Contracts and analyse data to identify areas for improvement.
Where required, assist in setting up key contractual performance indicators and in the monitoring of same to aide in contract performance management.
Oversee and manage the contract administration process for the Client Partner Services Sub-Contracts ensuring that any payments due reflects true cost of works in accordance with the contract.
Identify and mitigate any risks associated with the Client Partner Services Sub-Contracts.
Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of contract administration procedures, processes and systems to ensure compliance with the contract framework, assuming responsibility for the following: Organisation of file and documentation management.
Operational execution of financial management.
Keeping records of risks and possible impacts thereof; and Managing the contract manual, processes, and procedures in relation to claims, organizing meetings, communication, and ensuring that all issues are resolved or brought to the attention of the relevant parties.
Assist in the management of any disputes that arises under the Client Partner Services Sub-Contracts, ensuring that they are resolved in an efficient manner to ensure the seamless and continuous delivery of service.
Qualifications Minimum Level 8 degree (or equivalent) in relevant subject area e.g., project management, engineering, supply chain, procurement, quantity surveying, business, or related disciple Level 9 Masters in relevant field would be advantageous (or equivalent masters) Experience 10+ years' contract management experience within major capital programs with 5+ years' experience working on metro rail projects or projects of a similar scale and complexity Further demonstrated experience / knowledge of the following is required: Providing leadership and direction in contract management within a large and complex organisation Developing and implementing contract management strategies Administrating contracts at a senior level Embedding contract management standard operating procedures Setting-up and leading contractor performance and relationship management programmes and framework Establishing, implementing, and monitoring key performance indicators for partner organisation Dealing with bespoke forms of contract Developing successful commercial relationships that benefits programme performance and delivery metrics Driving best practice in technical activities, processes, policies, and standards Understanding and managing design and delivery requirements of technically complex projects in the architectural / engineering / construction sectors Dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing the improvement of process and providing guidance to support project delivery and reporting Skills Ability to work within multi-disciplinary functions and teams while ensuring that all contract management related tasks are conducted in a timely and accurate manner Ability to operate and execute effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and challenging deadlines Strong ability managing relationships, at executive and operational levels Ability to drive team participation and high performance Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical ability Strong team leadership skills with an ability to influence to drive effective design decision making Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills along with high personal motivation and energy Ability to develop long term relationships with all team members, and effectively balance people and processes Additional Information What we offer you: Full time, permanent Competitive remuneration and attractive range of benefits 8% Pension 25 days Annual leave (23 days + 2 company days) Opportunity to work on impactful and innovative projects Career development opportunities both in Ireland and globally Opportunity to work with a diverse group of talented and collaborative colleagues Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
