Job Description
The Test Analysis team is responsible for delivering projects across the business, including onboarding new clients and system enhancements. This role supports the business by carrying out Testing across all projects within the organization.
* Review and undertake static testing of business requirements documents (BRD) and functional specifications to understand the functional and technical requirements.
* Raise any issues identified with the BRD or functional specification documents with the document owner.
* Utilise the BRD and functional specification documents to create test scenarios and test scripts by analysing business requirements and engaging with project team members and subject matter experts as necessary.
* Review and validation of existing test data and creation of new test data to meet test case requirements.
* Responsible for completing test execution and maintenance of the test management tools.
* Creates test strategy and test closure documentation, managing the review and sign-off processes.
* Support business teams through test execution phases by validating test scenarios and test scripts, and assisting with the raising of defects identified during the test cycle.
* Issues detected during testing to be logged to the test management system, providing high-quality low-level details.
* Collaborates with internal and external development teams to address issues found during each test phase, retests and validates fixes have resolved the issue.
* Attends daily project calls to discuss progress of testing and defects that have been identified.
* Adheres to delivery deadlines.
* Identifies and raises risks through appropriate channels.
* Assists in the creation of test estimates for project timelines.
* Conducts quality review activities such as peer reviews of test cases, test plans, and test case execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* ISTQB Foundation Test Analyst qualification is essential.
* Minimum Third Level qualification in a relevant computer science/engineering field or equivalent is required.
* Experience and knowledge of Code of Conduct Mortgage Arrears (CCMA), Consumer Protection Code (CPC) regulations are desirable.
* Experience in Automation Testing is also beneficial.
* Financial Services experience of 2-3 years is preferable.
* Knowledge of Use Case/Test Methodology and experience in MS Office including Word, Excel are necessary.
* Proficiency in the use of JIRA is required.
* Problem-solving and root cause identification skills are essential.
* Able to work effectively at all levels in the organisation.
* Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively.
* Proven excellent communication skills with the ability to translate client requirements into test cases.
