Project Worker, Resettlement Tenancy Support Service, North West
Location: Sligo
Contract: Full-time, Specific Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide support to households at risk of or experiencing homelessness, assisting them to secure and maintain accommodation and live independently.
Key responsibilities include:
* Working within the objectives and policies of Focus Ireland, including health and safety.
* Building professional relationships with community agencies and professionals.
* Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate statutory and support services.
* Supporting a caseload of households with tailored support programs.
* Advocating for clients with other services.
* Conducting assessments, developing, monitoring, and updating care plans.
* Maintaining accurate casework records.
* Developing community links with accommodation and service providers.
* Providing one-to-one engagement and support in remote locations and homes.
* Reporting child protection concerns as needed.
* Supporting tenants with issues related to rent, maintenance, and behavior.
* Participating in meetings, reviews, and organizational activities.
* Adhering to policies, participating in supervision and training.
* Ensuring health and safety in the workplace.
* Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and experience required:
* Degree in social care, youth work, social studies, addiction, psychology, or related field.
* Full driver's license and own vehicle.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in social care.
* Knowledge of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.
* Experience working with clients with complex needs.
* Strong report writing and IT skills.
* Ability to work well in a team and liaise with organizations.
* Understanding of homelessness issues.
* Ability to plan and implement programs.
* Flexible approach to work.
