Job Description:
The Director, Global Procurement will be accountable for leading and implementing strategies to serve global and regional business needs. This individual will work closely with stakeholders to lead discussions related to the Global Facilities, Capital and Logistics Categories and align category priorities with Procurement management and stakeholders.
This role reports to the Vice President, Global Procurement and works closely with site leaders to ensure priorities are addressed efficiently and effectively.
A typical day might include but is not limited to the following: Leading negotiations, supplier management activities, and stakeholder engagement activities for the Global Facilities, Capital and Logistics Category as assigned. Working independently to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities.
Representing Global Procurement by participating in organizational decisions in the Global Facilities, Capital and Logistics categories with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results of the organization and company.
Leading category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations. Negotiating contract terms and conditions in consultation with Law department aligned with priorities and business requirements.
Managing a team of professional level employees responsible for performing category management tasks. Providing coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports and providing leadership examples for the organization.
