Role Overview
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Site Engineer to join their team on a range of exciting construction projects. This role involves taking responsibility for setting-out, quality control, subcontractor coordination, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time and to the highest standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Technical & Setting Out:
 * Setting out the works using engineers' drawings, site surveys and as-built drawings.
 * Ensuring all dimensions, levels, and alignments are accurate and in line with project specifications.
 * Reading and interpreting construction drawings for layouts, material quantities and measurements.
 * Carrying out as-built surveys and preparing drawings to reflect site conditions.
Site Management & Coordination:
 * Overseeing day-to-day site activities, supervising the general workforce and subcontractors.
 * Coordinating labour, plant, materials to ensure smooth workflow and minimise downtime.
 * Planning and sequencing works efficiently to achieve programme milestones and deadlines.
 * Liaising closely with client representatives, design team members and senior management to resolve technical queries and maintain clear communication channels.
Quality, Safety & Compliance:
 * Ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest standards of quality and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
 * Upholding the company's Health & Safety procedures and promoting a strong safety culture on site.
 * Conducting quality checks and preparing snag lists to ensure flawless project delivery.
Materials & Record Keeping:
 * Ordering and controlling the flow of materials to site in line with programme requirements.
 * Maintaining accurate and up-to-date site records including: Site diary and daily logs, Concrete cube register and test results, Delivery dockets and materials records, RFI (Request for Information) register and as-built documentation
Skills & Experience Required
 * Engineering Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related discipline.
 * Skilled in the use of Engineers' Levels, EDM/Total Station and other surveying instruments.
 * Competent in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and setting-out data.
 * Minimum 3 years' experience on construction sites, preferably with exposure to commercial, industrial or residential projects.
 * Demonstrated commitment to delivering work safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
