Accountant
We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our client, a Public Sector Body based in Kildare, on a contract basis.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide financial support to the Head of Finance in delivering accountability for financial business
* Develop networks with audit teams in other regions
* Analyse data and information comprehensively
* Compile written and oral reports with conclusions, implications, and recommendations
* Participate in the development of the audit plan with the audit team
* Maintain Internal Financial Controls for budgetary management and accountability
* Liaise with providers of Home Support for validation, invoicing, and accounting procedures
* Communicate with auditees to confirm audit requirements and plans
* Produce financial reports, analysis, and audit reports for the Head of Department and Quality Improvement Group
Key Requirements:
* Advise on value for money initiatives
* Promote compliance with Financial Regulation and Policy, Finance Corporate Governance, and best accounting practice
* Participate in change management and communicate with stakeholders
* Identify areas for process changes and engage with vendors
* Track financial aspects of Service Level Agreements or contracting arrangements
KPIs and Objectives:
* Manage and deliver KPIs as a core business objective
* Measure compliance with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and develop Action Plans
* Ensure effective communication systems for various stakeholders
Additional Responsibilities:
* Handle queries from stakeholders in a timely manner
* Contribute to team development and Continuous Quality Improvement
* Provide cover for office staff members as required
Suitable candidates will be fully qualified with excellent Excel skills. We offer a 35-hour working week and 30 days annual leave.
