Introduction
Bristol Myers Squibb is looking for an experienced sourcing and contracting professional to join its Agile Sourcing team. Responsibilities
* Source, onboard, lead, manage and develop a team of professionals in support of source-to-contract operations across multiple categories
* Oversee end-to-end sourcing and contracting process across assigned categories, including developing procurement plans and contracting strategies
* Lead and execute sourcing events and proposals with appropriate specifications, terms, and conditions
* Apply quality assurance protocols to monitor team and individual quality and escalate as needed to global category managers, legal and other subject matter experts
* Act as escalation point within the Agile Sourcing Ops team to provide guidance on substantive sourcing and contracting issues
* Maintain awareness of pre-contracting steps and BMS policies related to contracts
* Support execution and project management of broader organizational programs impacting the team
* Partner with stakeholders and manage complex, high-risk issues or projects; act as trusted advisor to global category managers
* Coordinate with functions to ensure timely, compliant facilitation of contracts
* Drive performance management and continuous improvement for source-to-contract activities
* Explore new procurement technologies with a focus on AI/ML opportunities
* Develop, review and analyze SLAs, KPIs and other metrics to support long-term business plans
Qualifications & Experience
* B.S./B.A. in Sciences; advanced degrees (JD, MBA, MS) preferred
* Minimum 8-10 years in sourcing and contracting across direct and indirect categories, with familiarity with Master Services Agreements
* Minimum 3-5 years managing a direct team in a cross-functional, multicultural environment
* Experience leading cross-functional and global teams in a matrix structure
* Expertise in procurement process, contract management, financial and market analysis, supplier management and strategic planning
* Experience with contracts in pharma/biotech; strong knowledge of buy-side contracts
* Excellent written and verbal communication and customer focus
* Adaptability in complex environments and ability to drive performance across teams
* Experience with Sourcing and Contract Lifecycle Management technology (e.g., ARIBA, Icertis)
