Job Title: Event Safety Assistant / Safety SupportContract: Fixed term with possibility of becoming full time. Commencement : May/June 2026 – (exact dates to be agreed)Location: Primarily on-site at event locations, with some home and office-based workSafe X are a specialist event and entertainment safety company delivering safety management and compliance support across live events, film and TV productions throughout the county.We are looking for an Event Safety Assistant to support our Safety Officers during the 2026 event season. This is an excellent development opportunity for either:An events professional who has developed an interest in Health & Safety, orA safety-focused individual who is keen to work in the live events environmentYou will gain hands-on experience in how safety is planned, managed, and delivered at live events, working closely with experienced Safety Professionals.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Safety Officers with on-site health & safety activitiesAssist with site inspections and safety walk-throughsHelp monitor event activities to ensure safe working practicesSupport the preparation and organisation of safety documentationAssist with reviewing basic risk assessments and method statements under supervisionHelp maintain safety records, checklists, and site logsBe a visible safety presence on site and report hazards or unsafe conditionsSupport event build, live event, and breakdown phases from a safety perspectiveContribute to planning and admin tasks during home/office-based work periodsManage admin on site, including signing crew in, checking their credentials and ensuring the correct PPE is wornWho This Role Would SuitThis role is ideal for someone who:Has experience in events and wants to move into safetyORHas safety experience or training and wants to apply it in the events industryYou don't need to know everything — you'll be learning on the job — but you must be proactive, observant, and willing to learn.Qualifications & ExperienceEssential (one of the following backgrounds):Experience working in live events, site operations, or production environmentsORExperience in a health & safety–related role or relevant training/qualificationAlso required:Strong awareness of personal and site safetyGood communication skills and confidence in speaking to othersWillingness to work outdoors and in busy, fast-moving environmentsStrong attention to detail, organised and able to support paperwork and admin tasks.
