NoOffer DescriptionApplications are invited for a temporary post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or Level 2 within School of Biosystems & Food Engineering.University College Dublin is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and independent Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Automated LCA & farm-level data project, funded under the EIT Food Impact Funding Framework.The successful candidate will lead in scientific activities, such as harmonising environmental footprinting standards (Organisational Environmental Footprint - OEF; Product Environmental Footprint - PEF), integrating Data Quality Rating (DQR) methodologies, and developing CSRD-aligned key performance indicators (KPIs).In addition, the candidate will design and implement a robust impact assessment framework to evaluate how the digital LCA platform influences sustainability performance across dairy supply chains, including changes in sourcing practices, supplier engagement, and environmental outcomes.This position combines methodological LCA research, regulatory alignment (e.g. CSRD), digital sustainability metrics, and real-world validation within the agri-food sector.Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 12/03/2026.Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified.
