This position offers aflexible hybrid schedule (1–2 days onsite)andhighly competitive hourly rates.Job OverviewAs the Senior Human Factors Engineer, you will lead and executeusability engineering and design validationactivities across a range of complex medical device projects. You'll ensure that products meet user needs and regulatory requirements throughout their lifecycle while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesTranslate customer insights, user behaviors, and environmental factors into effective product design solutions.Plan and conduct formative and validation usability studies, covering contextual inquiries and simulated-use testing.Define acceptance criteria, apply advanced validation methodologies, and ensure compliance with EU and US regulations.Oversee studies conducted in clinical or simulated environments in partnership with external vendors and research partners.Prepare and maintain human factors documentation, reports, and usability files for assigned projects.Support post-market and regulatory submissions, author Instructions for Use (IFUs), and develop user training materials.Contribute to the drafting and maintenance of SOPs, protocols, and study reports.Job RequirementsMaster's or PhD in biomedical engineering, human factors, or a related discipline (MD/PhD also considered).Minimum 5 years' experience in medical system design or usability validation.At least 2 years' experience conducting studies involving end users or patients within clinical or R&D settings.Proven success in applying human factors engineering principles across the product lifecycle.Strong understanding of clinical evaluation, usability testing, or clinical trial operations.Excellent communicator and team leader with a meticulous, data-driven approach.Willingness to travel occasionally to EU or US locations for off-site studies.Contract:12 monthsLocation:Dublin (Hybrid – 1–2 days onsite)Rate: Up to €70/hour DOESponsorship is not available for this position.
