We are seeking a Senior Cloud Consultant with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and .NET to support a public sector organisations cloud adoption programme. The role involves both strategic advisory and hands‑on implementation work, supporting governance, architecture, and optimisation across multiple cloud services.
Location: Remote (occasional on‑site meetings in Ireland)
Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension)
Start Date: December 2025
Day Rate: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities
 * Provide expert guidance to internal cloud governance and technical teams
 * Advise on cloud strategy, governance, compliance, and cost optimisation
 * Design and implement secure, scalable Azure architectures
 * Support migration and integration of internal APIs and services
 * Implement best practices for fault tolerance, connection handling, and performance
 * Assist in configuring Private Endpoints, DNS zones, and VNet integrations
 * Collaborate with internal ICT teams to deliver and document solutions
 * Ensure compliance with organisational security, sustainability, and data protection standards
Essential Skills & Experience
 * 7+ years in cloud consulting or enterprise .NET development
 * Proven experience with:
 o Azure App Services, Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines
 o Private Endpoints, VNet integration, DNS configuration
 o .NET Core, REST APIs, IHttpClientFactory
 o Office 365, Power Platform, SharePoint migrations
 o Azure Identity (ADFS, B2C, EntraID), MFA, WAF, Azure FrontDoor
 o Azure AI, Microsoft Co-Pilot (Agents)
 * Strong understanding of cloud cost management and monitoring
 * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Certifications Required
 * Microsoft Azure Expert MSP
 * Microsoft Solutions Partner for:
 o Data & AI (Azure)
 o Infrastructure (Azure)
 o Modern Work
