Job Title: Electrical Engineering Team Lead
As an Electrical Engineering Team Lead, you will play a key role in leading the electrical engineering team by providing technical guidance, managing project deliverables and overseeing team performance.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop the electrical engineering team to ensure that all tasks are completed within agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.
* Oversee project delivery from initial design to final production, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
* Implement continuous improvement processes within the team to drive efficiency and productivity.
* Support, mentor and create a positive culture to achieve defined deliverables and team goals.
* Conduct weekly 1:1 team member meetings to provide feedback and ensure alignment with team objectives.
* Develop and implement electrical engineering standards and procedures to maintain high-quality workmanship.
* Determine and optimize the throughput of work within the team to meet project deadlines.
* Maintain adherence to our ISO 9001 Quality Management System and company health and safety procedures.
Role Requirements:
* A degree (or equivalent) in electrical or electronic engineering.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience of working and providing guidance and oversight within a dynamic engineering team.
* Working knowledge of drawing management systems such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks PDM or similar.
* Experience in creation and checking of 2D electrical schematics and use of industry-recognized software to produce same, namely AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN.
* Experience of PLC software programming for machine control.
* Demonstrable people management, communication and decision-making skills.
