**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Social Care Worker to join our team. In this role, you will support the operational management of the service in delivering high standards of care and ensuring the smooth running of the service, in conjunction with the management team.
You will work closely with children, their families, and multi-disciplinary teams to create a supportive and empowering environment.
Key Responsibilities:

* Provide person-centred care to children with disabilities and autism, supporting their physical, emotional, and social needs.
">
* Assist the management team with day-to-day operations, including staff supervision and service delivery.
">
* Develop and implement individual support plans / short breaks passports tailored to the needs of each child.
">
* Support the development and implementation of positive behaviour support plans as required for children attending respite services.
">
* Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff, promoting open communication and collaboration.
">
* Support children in recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that encourage development and inclusion.
">
* Evaluate and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, HIQA standards, and other regulatory requirements.
">
* Contribute to staff training, mentorship, and team development.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold professional registration, or be eligible for registration, on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
This includes:

* A schedule 3 qualification.
">
* A comparable qualification recognised by Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
">
* Proof of Statutory Registration on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
Experience working with children with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
Knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach to work.
A full, clean driving license is essential.
