Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of Direct Farm Sales, the successful candidate will be our Junior Farm Development Executive for the South Leinster Region.

The core role of the Junior Farm Development Executive is to build relationships with existing customers during renewal calls and develop skills to sell our farm product to new customers. This will help increase Zurich’s share of the farm sector in Ireland. The role involves supporting our eight farm business development managers.


Your Role

1. Learn on the job about farm business development within Insurance, including renewal calls and new business submissions.
2. Build a pipeline of leads and actively manage the process for the team.
3. Survey outbuildings for fire & storm cover with experienced farm development managers.
4. Participate in Farm Talks/Presentations and attend agricultural shows and marts occasionally.
5. Build relationships within the farming community and with partners such as DairyGold, ICMSA, and FDC.
6. Represent the Zurich brand to the farming community.
7. Work closely with the Head of Farm Direct Sales & Farm Business Development Managers.
8. Implement sales and distribution strategies aligned with business goals.
9. Understand key success factors and distribution trends in the agricultural sector.
10. Use sales insights to improve customer propositions and profitability.
11. Provide customer feedback to the team for continuous improvement.

Success Measures

1. Customer feedback, retention levels, and new business secured.
2. Provide relevant market trend recommendations to the Head of Farm Direct.
3. Develop, share, and monitor best practices.


Minimum Qualifications


Your Skills and Experience

* At least 2 Grade C3/H5 at Higher Level in the Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) or FETAC Level 6 Diploma.
* Must sit the relevant Insurance Institute exams to qualify, in line with Central Bank guidelines.
* Degree in Agricultural Science is preferable but not necessary.
* CIP qualification or working towards it.


Experience

* Strong customer experience required.
* Knowledge of the agricultural industry is preferable.
* Experience with direct insurers or brokers is an advantage.
