Job Description
This role leads the design, creation, and deployment of AI‑powered solutions that transform content creation, data and analytics, and core business processes for interactive entertainment experiences. As a hands‑on AI architect and engineer, you will build AI‑native platforms and workflows using advanced models and agentic systems, enabling teams to focus on high‑value creative and strategic work. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners to define requirements, rapidly prototype, and deliver scalable, production‑grade AI solutions that delight players and fans worldwide. The position operates in a hybrid working model, combining in‑person collaboration with independent, focused work.
Responsibilities
Architect end‑to‑end AI‑native solutions and multi‑agent workflows that transform content creation, data and analytics, and core business processes from initial concept through to production deployment.
Design, build, and evolve AI pipelines, assistants, and tools that enable creative, marketing, and franchise teams to ideate, generate, localise, and optimise image, video, copy, and interactive content at scale while remaining on‑brand and fan‑first.
Lead the design and implementation of data lakes, vector stores, knowledge bases, and knowledge graphs to power intelligent assistants and AI solutions.
Own the path from prototype to production by integrating AI systems with existing platforms, services, and workflows, and by defining observability, reliability, and performance baselines.
Embed robust guardrails, safety mechanisms, and governance frameworks that address intellectual property, privacy, security, safety, and bias, including defining acceptance criteria, red/amber/green thresholds, and incident handling processes for AI‑powered systems.
Create and maintain reusable reference architectures, design patterns, SDKs, and templates for agents, multi‑agent workflows, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), and integrations with LLM, vision, and diffusion models to accelerate adoption across teams.
Partner with creative, product, marketing, data, engineering, operations, and legal teams to identify high‑value AI opportunities, shape requirements, and ensure solutions are usable, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
Lead experimentation cycles from proof to pilot to production, defining success metrics, analysing performance and fan impact, and continuously refining models, prompts, workflows, and user experiences based on data and stakeholder feedback.
Develop and lead AI‑first engineering processes that accelerate product development, engineering delivery, and the integration of AI into existing systems and workflows.
Evangelise AI best practice across the organisation by providing thought leadership, sharing patterns and lessons learned, hosting demos and workshops, and coaching teams on the effective use of agents, LLMs, vision and diffusion models, and AI workflows.
Create scalable AI pipelines and workflows that increase automation, reduce manual effort, and allow teams to spend more time on creative, strategic, and high‑impact work.
Collaborate closely in a hybrid environment, working both independently and as part of cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality AI solutions in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting.
Essential Skills
At least 8 years of experience architecting, prototyping, and deploying secure, scalable, production‑grade systems that follow software engineering, infrastructure, architectural, and security best practices.
Strong Python development skills, with a proven track record of integrating AI into distributed, secure production environments.
A minimum of 3 years of experience implementing AI solutions that deliver measurable business impact, including hands‑on work with Generative AI and agentic systems.
Excellent working knowledge of prompt and context engineering, AI agents and agentic architectures, tool calling, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Proficiency with AI assistants, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, evaluation methodologies, benchmarking, and guardrail implementation.
Experience tuning language and diffusion models, labelling and tagging data, and architecting robust data pipelines.
Deep understanding of architecture and design principles, as well as cloud services, with experience across major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Strong background in enterprise architecture and microservices design, including observability and telemetry, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines.
Proven experience working with AI security, privacy, intellectual property considerations, and responsible AI practices, including navigating legal, ethical, and security implications for AI.
At least 4 years of experience leading cross‑functional teams and collaborating effectively with global stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to approach problems from multiple angles, analyse trade‑offs, and land pragmatic, high‑impact solutions using strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts simply and clearly, and to craft compelling narratives that demonstrate business impact.
A customer‑ and player‑centric mindset, with a passion for building solutions that empower internal teams and delight end users.
A strong inclination towards continual learning and staying current with emerging AI technologies, models, tools, and solution patterns.
Ability to thrive both collaboratively and independently in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and startup‑like environment within a larger organisation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with C#, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS as beneficial complementary skills to strong Python expertise.
Hands‑on experience using agentic AI software engineering tools, such as modern AI‑assisted development environments, to accelerate development and experimentation.
Practical experience with cloud‑native architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including secure deployments, scalability, and reliability best practices.
Background in full‑stack development, including integration of AI services into front‑end and back‑end systems.
Experience implementing observability, telemetry, and monitoring for AI‑driven applications in production.
Familiarity with security best practices in cloud and application environments, including secure coding and data protection.
Exposure to gaming or interactive entertainment is an advantage but not a requirement.
Comfort working in a hybrid environment that blends in‑office collaboration with remote work.
Interest in or experience with knowledge graphs, knowledge bases, and advanced data modelling.
Ability to run workshops, demos, and training sessions to upskill colleagues in AI tools and methodologies.
