Job Title: Risk & Compliance Officer Location: Dublin City Centre Salary: Competitive plus benefits including bonus, healthcare and more Working model: Permanent | Hybrid (2 days onsite) Our client, a highly regarded insurance and advisory provider is looking for a Risk & Compliance Officer to support its growing client base across the public sector. This role is suited to someone with solid experience in governance, risk, and compliance who's confident advising organisations on how to manage exposure and strengthen internal controls. You'll be working with public sector bodies, helping them embed practical, effective risk frameworks. You'll play a key role in shaping how organisations manage risk, offering expert advice, facilitating risk workshops, and helping build practical systems that reduce exposure and improve outcomes. Responsibilities Advising a range of public sector bodies on their key risks, and helping them make informed, risk-aware decisions. Designing tools, guides, and frameworks that help organisations embed effective risk and governance practices. Running risk and governance workshops, delivering seminars, and contributing to national forums and working groups. Helping organisations integrate risk management into their day-to-day operations and align it with strategic goals. Collaborating with internal teams and clients to analyse data, assess impact, and shape future risk responses. Bringing a risk-focused lens to change initiatives, compliance reviews, audits, and ongoing improvements. Requirements Professional experience in governance, risk, and compliance-especially in regulated or public-facing environments. A background in risk advisory, insurance, engineering, information security, health & safety, or similar. Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 31000, COSO, or public sector risk standards. Experience building and rolling out policies, frameworks, and risk registers. A confident presenter and facilitator-comfortable leading discussions and workshops. Bonus: Experience working with local authorities, government agencies, or not-for-profit organisations.
