Sales Manager (Switchgear / Data Centres)
My client is an innovative engineering / manufacturing company who manufacture products for the telecoms, transportation and power supply industries. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Manager to lead the business development of their Switchgear and Data Centre markets across the UK and Ireland. This role can be worked remotely as long as you’re legally allowed to work in the UK or Ireland and are currently a resident with the relevant technical sales experience that is essential for the role. The role also offers a four-day working week, so it is a great opportunity.
Role:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities
Set and achieve sales growth and targets
Generate leads through networking, industry events, exhibitions and referrals
Monitor, manage and review relevant tender portals, including e-tendering processes
Develop, manage and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients Identify commercial opportunities and proactively follow up on sales leads
Act as the primary point of contact for sales enquiries
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction to encourage repeat and long‑term business
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and sector developments Identify new sectors, regions or service opportunities for business growth
Person: Sales Manager
To be suitable it is essential that you have at least five plus years’ experience in a business development or a sales role which has been worked in the switch gear, power and /or data centre industry
In depth technical knowledge of the switchgear, power and /or data centre industry
Proven experience in tendering /e-tendering, pricing and contract negotiation
Strong organisational, planning and time‑management skills
Results‑driven, self‑motivated and resilient, with the ability to work independently
On offer: Sales Manager
Salary £50,000 - £70,000 potentially more
