Support Worker
We are currently recruiting for motivated and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with an intellectual disability to realise their vision for a good life.
About the Role
The focus of this role will be to lead initiatives in supporting individuals to live a life of their choosing and what matters most to them. You will support individuals to become connected and valued within their local community, to provide opportunities for new experiences and to assist each person in developing real and authentic relationships.
Requirements
* A recognised Diploma in Social Care or Applied Social Studies in Social Care (Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications)
* FETAC/QQI level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support/Health Service Skills or willingness to complete
* On the live register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
Skills and Qualifications
* Excellent organisational, logistical and I.T skills
* Excellent communication skills and ability to become an effective team member
* Ability to support individuals to connect with their local community and develop and maintain relationships
* Knowledge of HIQA Standards
