Key Role Summary
Nationally, this role aims to elevate our clients' brand and product presence within customers' stores. Key objectives include ensuring the optimal mix of products is stocked and displayed, driving increased sales and maximized profits for both parties involved. Close collaboration with marketing teams, area sales managers, in-store sales teams, buying, and store operations teams ensures effective stock monitoring and availability.
Role Qualifications
This position requires:
* 1-2 years of Merchandising experience (essential)
* A proven track record in achieving and exceeding merchandising KPIs
* Agricultural knowledge and background (an advantage)
* The ability to travel, with this role including 1-2 nights away per week
* A full clean driver's license, with a trailer license desirable but not essential
* Customer focus with strong business acumen
* Excellent attention to detail
* The ability to build strong relationships with team members, instore staff, and customers
* Multitasking under pressure
* Up-to-date knowledge of the latest merchandising trends and best practices
* Excellent negotiating and influencing skills
* IT literacy, with CRM experience advantageous

Key Responsibilities
This role encompasses:
* Merchandising products at trade stores nationwide
* Ensuring products and accessories are merchandised according to agreed-upon in-store planograms
* Managing on-shelf availability and visibility for all listed lines, ensuring presence in both outdoor and indoor locations
* Maintaining cleanliness and visual appeal of products
* Forward-planning store visits to maximize time spent in an area and logging merchandising calls in our CRM system
* Maximizing customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately and in prime locations within each store
* Attending open days and shows as required to support our sales team
* Monitoring the impact of merchandising in each store
* Positioning products in prime in-store locations with suitable signage, clear pricing, and branding, while generating additional space for the brand through negotiations at store level
* Gathering knowledge of competitors in the marketplace and reacting promptly by providing feedback on observed changes
* Monitoring stock levels to ensure top-selling products reach their full potential visually in-store
* Staying current with industry best practices, identifying trends in other stores, and building upon this knowledge to increase sales
