Job Title: Contracts Manager (Construction)

My client is a progressive Contractor who specialises in Design & Build Development and Construction. This role would suit an Experienced Contracts Manager who has managed projects valued over €15M from early tender and preconstruction stages through to onsite delivery and handover. Projects range across multiple industry sectors, including educational, healthcare, sport and leisure. The Role:
Candidates will coordinate and monitor construction drawings, specifications, and work requirements. They will assist in tender submittals and design approval. Overseeing a portfolio of commercial developments across the Greater Dublin region is also required. Liaising with the design team to ensure works are completed according to the programme is essential. Reporting to and supporting the Contracts Director and Construction Director to ensure smooth completion of projects is also necessary. Monitoring and managing project budgets, directing and managing personnel, site staff, and subcontractors, and coordinating weekly progress meetings, workshops, and planning actions are key responsibilities. Additionally, candidates must monitor construction to ensure quality of work and coordinate and liaise with Projects Manager, Site Engineers, and Service Coordinators to ensure all personnel have accurate and timely information.
Requirements:
A Degree in Construction Management or similar (Third level qualification) is essential. A minimum of 5 years experience as a Contracts Manager with a Main Contractor or Property Developer in Ireland or the UK is also required. Proven record of overseeing projects valued over €5M from inception to completion is necessary. Background in engineering is desirable. Ability to effectively manage site programme and associated schedules to required deadlines and update the programme when necessary is crucial. Experience managing multiple subcontractors at a time is also essential. Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint with excellent IT skills and good digital and visual presentational skills is required.
