We are seeking an experiencedPen Injector Product Developerfor anAssociate Directorposition with a leading global medical device organisation. This is a senior leadership role driving innovation in the medical device sector. It is a permanent position based inSouth Dublin, withhybridworking options available. The role leads the development of core technologies withinR&D,guiding strategic direction across innovation projects. You'll evaluate emerging trends, advise on future technology choices, and help build lasting technical expertise to drive product advancement.Responsibilities:Partner with key stakeholders across various functions to align objectives by understanding market opportunities, strategic goals, and roadmaps.Develop, implement, and coordinate strategies related to Pen Injectors and Auto Injectors.Understand the current market landscape of pen and auto injectors, including their strengths, weaknesses, and associated opportunities for the company.Ensure that all new products are designed for high-volume Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).Follow design, quality, and safety guidelines based on GMP, FDA, and ISO standards.Lead and motivate a lean, high-performing team in the development of new products that drive revenue growth with short payback periods and quick launch windows.Leverage the Engineering Group onsite in alignment with the Director of Engineering.Bring energy and creativity to the team, identifying high-potential candidates for development and possible rotation through the Pen Injector Development Team.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field required; advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in successful cross-functional matrix organisations.10+ years of experience in medical industries developing mechanical-based consumable medical devices.Experience working with and managing internal talent as well as third-party consultants and service providers.Excellent presentation and communication skills, including executive-level presentations.Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of innovative medical device products while contributing to the senior leadership team in a global organisation.If you are a highly experienced mechanical design engineer with 15 years of experience in the MedTech sector (or a similar regulated industry) and currently at Associate Director or Director level, this position could be an excellent fit.For a confidential discussion about this Associate Director job inSouth Dublin, you can contactRanait Coughlan
