Job Overview
The role of Quality Assurance Specialist is to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects by implementing and monitoring quality control programs. This includes collaborating with subcontractors, inspecting work packages, conducting pre-construction meetings, and coordinating testing and inspections.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the establishment and implementation of site-specific QC programs with subcontractors and monitor their conformance.
* Inspect existing conditions prior to the start of new work packages to identify potential issues.
* Conduct pre-construction Quality Control meetings with the construction team to discuss project requirements and expectations.
* Coordinate required tests, inspections, and demonstrations with clients or authorities having jurisdiction.
* Inspect purchased and equipment arriving at the site to ensure conformance with contract specifications.
* Monitor repair or reconstruction of rejected work and document corrective action taken.
* Coordinate 3rd-party inspections to ensure all required testing has been performed and acceptable results achieved.
* Advise field staff on quality and deficiencies detected during in-progress inspections and assist with remedial actions.
* Responsible for documenting site work conformity and inspection records throughout the project period.
* Ensure final quality documentation files are compliant with contractual requirements.
* Coordinate BCAR-related documentation with assigned certifiers, design teams, and subcontractors.
* Review and coordinate material test reports with Structural Engineers and Site Engineers to identify and close out non-conformances in a timely manner.
