Main Purpose of the Role
The Homeshare Consultant provides professional, practical, and compassionate support to clients throughout their Homeshare journey. The role ensures a high‑quality, consistent service aligned with organisational processes and values, resulting in satisfied clients who become long‑term ambassadors and referral sources.
The successful candidate will manage Homeshare arrangements from initial enquiry through to successful match and ongoing support, ensuring the needs of all stakeholders are met with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Client Management

Manage client relationships from initial contact through to Homeshare arrangement completion, taking full ownership of the client experience.
Conduct consultations with potential Householders and assess suitability for Homesharing.
Interview and assess prospective Homesharers.
Facilitate introductions between Householders and Homesharers.
Support and monitor the Homeshare Arrangement Trial Period including vetting process.
Conduct regular monthly home visits and structured check‑ins.
Carry out monthly phone check‑ins with Householders, Homesharers, and/or Next of Kin.
Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion across all interactions.

Supporting Individual Clients

Deliver a high‑quality, person‑centred service aligned with the mission and ethos of THE HomeShare.
Assess individual needs and set realistic expectations based on health, lifestyle, and geographical considerations.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date client records, both paper‑based and electronic.
Ensure all processes and documentation are completed in line with organisational standards.
Support clients within defined service parameters while remaining responsive to individual circumstances.
Assist with financial administration including setting up standing orders and recording payments.

Engagement with Families & Stakeholders

Communicate clearly and sensitively with family members and Next of Kin.
Provide realistic expectations of Homesharing outcomes.
Liaise with healthcare professionals and refer clients to appropriate services when required.
Maintain strong professional relationships with external stakeholders.

Organisational Responsibilities

Meet agreed targets and key performance indicators.
Work collaboratively within the THE HomeShare team, contributing to a positive and supportive work culture.
Ensure compliance with all health & safety, legal, and data protection requirements.
Maintain accurate reporting systems, including timely input into quotations and invoicing.
Undertake additional duties as required by the CEO or Operations Manager.

Person Specification

Experience in social care, community services, healthcare, or a related field
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
Excellent organisational and administrative skills
Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
Full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle
Experience working with older people or vulnerable adults
Knowledge of housing, community support, or social enterprise sectors
Experience in client assessment and case management
Full‑time position (typically Monday–Friday, with flexibility required)
Participation in a shared on‑call rota to support clients outside standard hours
Competitive salary of €40,000
