Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Packaging Operations Specialist to join our team. This is an 11-month fixed-term contract position at our Newbridge site, requiring onsite work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure strict adherence to policies/procedures, cGMP, and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
* Execute responsibilities in line with Right First Time principles.
* Ensure resolution of issues and/or appropriate escalation.
* Execution of the validated artworks system for transactions and progress internal Requests for Artwork Amendment in a timely manner, maintaining regulatory compliance throughout.
* Responsible for the technical review and approval of artwork components.
* Creation of new components in SAP and generation of associated Purchasing Specifications.
* Creation of new Bill of Materials and production versions in SAP, management of effectivity dates, and generation of associated documentation to meet production needs.
Artwork Development
* Lead the creation of artwork briefs and completion of Machine Compatibility Technical Reviews.
* Act as the main liaison between the site and external/internal stakeholders, including artwork contractors, country offices, Global Packaging Services, Affiliate Packaging Quality Organizations, Global Labelling Operations, and Global Product Teams.
* Manage artwork implementation activities aligned with regulatory timelines and change control processes.
Change Control & Documentation
* Manage documentation, packaging, and artwork changes via ePALMS Change Control and Site-specific Change Control systems.
* Create and maintain accurate records in ePALMS, ensuring all implementation dates are agreed upon and tracked with relevant markets and supply chain planners.
* Ensure the timely availability of specifications in line with production schedules.
GMP Documentation – Creation & Maintenance
* Packaging Specifications
* Purchasing Specifications
* New Product Introduction (NPI) Questionnaires
* Perform technical checks and approvals for artwork files.
SAP Systems Maintenance
* Loading, creating, and maintaining data related to packaging and purchasing.
* Bills of Materials (BOMs)
* Material Masters
* Production Versions
* Purchasing Master Data
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
* Support inventory management and ensure implementation dates align with market demand.
* Closely collaborate with the Planning team to ensure production and supply plans meet regulatory and market requirements.
Cross-functional Technical Liaison
* Coordinate with Packaging Technology, Incoming Quality, Operations, Purchasing, and Packaging Vendors to ensure seamless packaging operations.
Qualifications:
* A third-level qualification in Purchasing, Materials Management, Business, or a Science-related field is preferred.
* Relevant experience combined with the right attitude and behaviors may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in Manufacturing Planning / Supply Chain / Logistics
* Related work experience in Pharma industry an advantage
* Related experience/knowledge/understanding of artwork development
* Understanding of Regulatory requirements for Pharma industry
* Attention to detail, accuracy in record keeping and documentation
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
* Good working knowledge of artworks and Adobe Suite applications
* Clear communicator and solution orientated
* Ability to identify and gather information necessary for effective decision-making
* Ability to effectively prioritise and handle multiple tasks
* Ability to coordinate project work as part of a team
