Quality Engineer will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's quality management systems across multiple infrastructure projects.
You'll work closely with site teams to ensure compliance with client, regulatory, and internal quality standards while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement and maintain the project's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 standards.
* Conduct regular quality inspections and audits across civil, utilities, and reinstatement works.
* Review and verify construction documentation including ITPs, check sheets, and test results.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to address non-conformances and corrective actions.
* Support project teams with BCAR, TII, and Irish Water standards compliance.
* Lead quality briefings, toolbox talks, and promote best practice across the business.
* Support handover documentation including quality dossiers, test certificates, and "as-built" drawings.
* Maintain records of materials, testing, and workmanship inspections.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share lessons learned across projects.
Requirements:
* Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
* 3+ years' experience in a Quality Engineering role within civil engineering or utilities.
* Strong working knowledge of Irish construction and utilities standards (TII, Irish Water, BCAR).
* Experience implementing ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.
* Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and report-writing skills.
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Full driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
