Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Healthcare Assistant with Bluebird Care, your role will include:
* Assisting clients with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
* Supporting clients with mobility and transfers
* Preparing meals and supporting with feeding if required
* Providing companionship and emotional support
* Supporting medication prompts/reminders
* Carrying out light household duties (tidying, laundry, etc.)
* Promoting client independence and dignity at all times
* Reporting concerns or changes in health to the office promptly
* Accurately recording visit notes and care updates
Requirements:
You must have either:
* Two QQI Level 5 modules - Care Skills/Healthcare Support and Care of the Older Person
OR
* 1+ year experience as a HCA and a willingness to complete the 2 QQI modules (provided FREE by Bluebird Care)
* Good spoken and written English is essential
Availability:
* Every second weekend preferred
* Flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle
